How do I open the viewer?
On a Google Images search, click the Fullframe button in the toolbar or press Alt+Shift+G. With an image open in Google's side panel, you can also choose "Full screen" from its ⋮ menu.
On Mac, Alt corresponds to Option.
← Previous → Next Space Next
↓ opens related images; ↑ returns one level. Related-image browsing has breadcrumbs and remembers your position. Esc returns from related images to search results; at the results level, it closes the viewer.
How do I change the keyboard shortcut?
Open chrome://extensions/shortcuts in a new tab. Find Fullframe, click the pencil next to the shortcut, then press the keys you want to use. Chrome saves the change straight away.
Why do some images only display a preview?
Fullframe shows a preview first, then loads the full-size original when available. Some image hosts block originals, so Fullframe falls back to a preview. An original may also be unavailable if the host is offline or has removed it.
Additional Google results load as you browse. The number of results depends on what Google supplies.
Where do I return when I close it?
Closing without moving restores your original grid position. Closing after browsing returns the grid to the image you reached. Fullframe also attempts to restore Google’s preview panel to its previous state.
You can zoom and pan in the viewer. Fullframe supports desktop Google Images; mobile Google layouts and Google Lens are not supported.
